"I'm going to Tulum tomorrow. Do you want to join?"
— Patricia, 2021
— January 4, 2021, Approx. 2am at Breathless Resort, Cancun —
How it all Began
After celebrating the New Year with her fam, Patricia was enjoying her last night before leaving to Tulum with her brother, Jeff — she had a choice to make. Turn Left, to bed. Or turn right, to the beach. She went right.
That's where Jamall was — sprawled on a cabana with his flag football team and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. By sunrise, Patricia had invited him and his friend, Hans, to keep the trip going. They declined the offer. Then he remembered he works remotely. He called back: "Were you serious about Tulum, or was that the tequila talking?" Yes to both.
It was the best decision either of us ever made. Beach parties, jungle nights, yacht trips, bonfires — and Covid. Ten days of quarantine in New York later, Jamall called again: "Were you serious about visiting Austin or was that the covid talking?" Yes again.
A heroes' welcome — brunch, BBQ, tacos, dim sum. Then Winter Storm Uri hit and trapped us inside for four days while four million Texans lost power. Somewhere in there, this stopped being a fling. What followed: New Orleans, Bermuda, NYC, Puerto Rico, Tulsa, Vegas, Miami — and, always, Tulum.
Now we're getting married back where the "yes" started.

— The Accommodations —
Some of our favorite memories happen in the quiet moments between celebrations: lingering over breakfast, stories late into the night, the people you actually care about within arm's reach. We want the weekend to feel less like a traditional wedding and more like a shared getaway with the people we love most.
To bring our vision to life, we reserved all 17 luxury residences at Bespoke Tulum for the weekend. No strangers wandering through. No other weddings on the calendar. No conference downstairs. Just us.
Bespoke Tulum is a dream. Set back from the main hotel strip on a quieter stretch of Tankah Bay, Bespoke is a boutique hotel forged from a collection of luxury villas with the kind of indoor-outdoor Tulum architecture that's become its own genre. The villas range from two to four bedrooms, 1,500 to 3,300 square feet, most bigger than our actual house in Austin. Some have two-story layouts, rooftop plunge pools, full kitchens, private terraces, ocean views, a dedicated bathroom for every bedroom. The kind of place you settle into, not just check into.
Beyond the villas: a private beach, infinity pool, lush gardens, and an on-site gym, bar and restaurant. Snorkeling and kayaking are also available for free.
All accommodations will be coordinated directly through us to ensure everyone staying on the property is part of the wedding weekend. Early RSVPs are greatly appreciated, as they allow us to coordinate room arrangements and shared residences as thoughtfully as possible. Once your attendance is confirmed, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group where we’ll share travel updates, coordinate logistics, and keep everyone informed leading up to the celebration.
Booking details, room assignments, and payment information will be shared directly with each guest.

Through us
No third-party sites — we handle every reservation directly. Early RSVPs greatly appreciated.
A Look Inside
A quiet stretch of Tankah Bay, the whole place to ourselves.

— Travel —
Bigger airport. More routes. More options.
Newer. Closer. Fewer routes — book early.
Rental car
For more freedom and side trips. Rental cars are a great choice for guests who want more flexibility to explore the area. The property is tucked away in a quieter part of Tankah Bay with fewer destinations within walking distance. Patricia and Jamall will be renting a car too. Feel free to team up with other guests to share the cost.
Heads up, mandatory Mexican liability insurance is rarely included in advertised rates, which is usually what bumps the actual price up.
Bespoke concierge transfer
Private transfers arranged through Bespoke's concierge — verified drivers meet you at arrivals and take you straight to the property. Three vehicle options depending on group size. To book, contact the Bespoke concierge team with your flight info and a phone number.
Suburban includes Wi-Fi, drinks, snacks, and insurance — paid by card upfront. SUV/Van paid cash to driver. Round trips available. Book at least 24 hours before arrival.
The fine print
Passport must be valid for 6+ months past travel. Travel insurance strongly recommended as October is the tail end of hurricane season. If the worst happens, we move indoors at the venue and figure the rest out together.
— Saturday —
We're not herding anyone. Saturday is for you. Here's what we're doing, and here's what we recommend.

The walled Mayan city perched on cliffs above the Caribbean — stone temples, iguanas everywhere, ocean breeze. Late afternoon is best: golden light, fewer crowds, and a breeze off the water. Bring a hat. ~$60/pp.

Discover a sanctuary where adventure meets conservation. Join expert guides to meet over 50 rescued species, connect with macaws, snakes, and primates through a unique educational bonding program.

A cenote club hidden in the Mayan jungle — crystal-clear swim hole, daybeds at the water's edge, DJ above, farm-to-table kitchen below. Bring a swimsuit; they'll handle the rest.

Tulum's beachfront strip — boutique hotels, beach clubs, boho shops, palapas. Walk the beach, post up at a club for the day, eat well, swim, repeat. The Tulum aesthetic in its natural habitat.

Tulum’s boutiques offer an incredible mix of "eco-chic" slow fashion, featuring airy linens and custom hats alongside authentic, artisan-made Mayan crafts. Taking an hour to explore is the perfect way to snag a unique look for the wedding or take home a piece of the Riviera Maya's style.

If you want to head out onto the water, grab a kayak right from the sand. It is a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful, clear ocean. This is completely optional, so feel free to paddle around or just kick back and relax beachside!
— The Vibe —
Bohemian everything. We didn't pick Tulum for the wedding, it picked us.

One per person. Plus-ones get their own form. Early RSVPs greatly appreciated. You may RSVP even if you have not yet finalized your flight details. However, we recommend booking travel as soon as possible, as the ongoing Hormuz blockade may cause increases in airfare costs.
Some of the moments we'd live again, if anyone's offering. The rest live in our heads.
